Network connection problems can be examined in a few items, firstly, to solve the Network connection problem, check the following:

a) Is your internet connection on the wall working with the computer? (To understand this, is there a light on the ethernet of the computer to which the internet cable coming from the wall is connected? Or the patch cable that connects you to the wall may be broken or broken.

b) If there is a connection and the ethernet light is on but does not connect, check if your computer can get an IP.

c) If there is no connection and no ethernet light is on when you check the cables, call Data Processing (10200).

The unit to which the line is requested must inform us in an official letter, in which room and how many new internet lines are available.

Wireless broadcasting has been carried out in our university since 2005 under the supervision of the Department of Information Processing. Broadcasts are made over Eduroam, Erciyes-Wireless and Erciyes Wifi Assist SSIDs. You can get detailed information about these networks from our EDUROAM web page.

You have to connect to the proxy server to use the library databases at Erciyes University. Currently, only academic personnel from outside use the proxy server.

1- Select the Connections tab from the window that opens.

2- Select the Local Network settings on that page

3- Check “Use a proxy server for your LAN” tab on the new page.

4- Address part 193.255.88.62

5- B.Nok part 3182

6- Close the pages by saying OK.

7- When you type the address you will enter, it will ask you for a password.


Username: Your e-mail address (bim@erciyes.edu.tr )

Password: Your Email Password The page will open.

The proxy server uses passwords on the mail server.

NOTE: Only make these settings when accessing the library databases. It will be useful to cancel these settings for other uses.

1. Enter https://posta.erciyes.edu.tr/?action=sendsms  from your internet browser.

2. Enter your e-mail address as @erciyes.edu.tr and your registered GSM number

3. Enter the 6-digit SMS login code that will be sent to your mobile phone in the relevant field on the web page.

4. On the next screen, you can re-set your password and access your e-mail account at https://webmail.erciyes.edu.tr .
